I AM JOCELYN BERGQUIST, FUTURE EDUCATOR.
I grew up on a farm outside of Wilton, North Dakota with my dad, mom, and younger sister. I am from a rural community where I attended Wilton Public School from grades Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade. I played volleyball and basketball for Wilton and participated in Student Government. In 2014, I graduated from Wilton with fifteen other classmates.
In the fall of 2014, I attended Bismarck State College where I earned credits towards degrees in Elementary Education and Business Education. In the fall of 2016, I transferred to the University of Mary to further pursue Education. In the fall of 2018, I will graduate from the University of Mary with degrees in Elementary Education and Business Education.
I have had my substitute teaching license for approximately six months. I coach volleyball and basketball, and I have been an assistant high school girls' basketball coach for three years, assistant high school girls' volleyball coach for three years, and junior high girls' volleyball coach for three years.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outside. I love to play volleyball and basketball, ride and drive horses, play with my dogs, fish, hike, shed hunt, kayak, ride four wheeler, read, bike, camp, and take pictures. I also like to do some traveling. My family has been to Disney World and Disney cruises multiple times, but aside from beaches, I also enjoy visiting mountainous areas.
In the future, I intend to pursue a Master's degree. I also plan to continue coaching.
